Biocircularcities Trilogy – Episode 2: Identifying the most promising biocircular technological options, the Biocircularcities Webtool in action

This summer the Biocircularcities project is coming behind your screen with a series of three exclusive webinars.

Since 2021, three pilot territories have been working on unlocking the circular economy potential of unexploited bio-based waste streams (namely organic fraction of municipal solid waste in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, biowaste from the coffee chain in the metropolitan city of Naples, and residual biomass from forestry and related wood transformation activities in the province Pazardzhik). Thanks to the BBI-JU Biocircularcities project, they have developed new models to boost the circularity of these biowaste chains.

Do you want to know more about these new value chains? Are you eager to adopt the approach followed by the Biocircularcities pilots and spread a circular bioeconomy in your territory? The Biocircularcities Trilogy is for you! The Biocircularcities partners will tell you all about the project, its development, and findings in three webinars.

While the episode 1 is already behind us, you can still register for episode 2!

Episode 2: Identifying the most promising biocircular technological options, the Biocircularcities Webtool in action

Do you need help to decide on relevant technological pathway(s) to increase the circularity of the biowaste stream you would like to valorise? Do you want to assess the socio-economic, political and environmental context of the territory where you will implement the biowaste chain according to a list of influential criteria? Here comes the Biocircularcities Webtool!

Developed by the Biocircularcities partners using both the analysis of the main drivers and barriers towards biocircular value chains for biomass waste management and the experience of the pilot areas, this tool will support the identification of the most suitable (bio-circular technologies) for improving the biowaste management and contribute to replicate the project’s findings in other territories.

With this second episode of the Biocircularcities Trilogy you will dive into the Biocircularcities Webtool, discover its specificity, learn how to use it and what you can achieve with it.
