POWER4BIO cross-visit to Mazovia, Poland

POWER4BIO cross-visit to Mazovia, Poland

Please note that this event will be organised as an online meeting.

This online cross-visit is jointly organised by the Mazovia Energy Agency, the Mazovia region and the European Chemical Regions Network (ECRN), under the scope of POWER4BIO project.

The cross- visit will focus on presenting Mazovia region and its potential for the development of bioeconomy, especially in the agricultural and waste management sectors. It will bring together representatives of all significant target groups that can contribute to the development of the bioeconomy – from regional authorities and the research community to industry. The meeting will integrate theory with practice by presenting the best practices for implementing technological solutions for bioeconomy. During the event, interesting case studies will be presented, showing the use of bioeconomy in various sectors and fields, from biomaterials to food and educational and research activities.

In January, POWER4BIO is organising a training webinar series about bio-based materials. In two thematic training webinars, experts from the POWER4BIO consortium, related bioeconomy projects, companies from the bio-based industrial sector, research institutes and international agencies will give insights about the current status of bio-based materials at EU level, innovative practices and keys for successful business cases, value chains, sustainability, funding opportunities and supporting policies. All webinars are free of charge and open to everyone.

In the second POWER4BIO training webinar on bio-based materials, we will tackle the needs, limitations and opportunities of policy instruments for bio-based materials. We will take a closer look to policy instruments that facilitate and set requirements to the development of potential value chains. We will also present results and good policy examples from task 4.2 of the POWER4BIO project: public policies and regulation to support bio-based business models at regional level. We will also take practical aspects to implement financial Instruments into account and present further good practice cases.

In this first POWER4BIO training webinar on bio-based materials, we will provide a general overview of bio-based materials in Europe and present good practice cases. We will also introduce the POWER4BIO Bioregional Strategy Accelerator Toolkit (BSAT), an online platform for guiding decision-makers to review or develop regional bioeconomy strategies.

BLOOM online closing exhibition – detailed agenda and registration

The BLOOM project consortium would like to invite you to our closing exhibition on the 9th of December 2020. In adherence with the Corona pandemic measures across Europe, this event will be held online.

Our exhibition offers many insights into the BLOOM project. We will present the activities and lessons learnt from the European BLOOM hubs and the BLOOM school network, and provide ample space for discussions on these topics. Participants will have the opportunity to ‘see in action’ the bioeconomy materials and outreach media we co-created and showcased at events throughout the duration of the project.
