Project Development Assistance (PDA) projects build the technical, economic and legal expertise needed for project development, leading to the launch of concrete investments. At the EU level such projects have been used extensively in the field of energy (efficiency). But (how) can the approach be transferred to Circular Economy projects?

HOOP is a pioneering Horizon 2020 project that is providing PDA to eight Lighthouse Cities and Regions across Europe. The project aims to unlock significant investments in state-of-the-art biowaste and wastewater valorisation technologies.

Now, two-and-a-half years into the project, partners will share their methodologies, experiences, encountered barriers and learnings with other EU projects, technology providers, consultancies and all interested stakeholders in a dedicated webinar.

The BioGov.net Project aims to establish innovative governance models in the bioeconomy by providing an inclusive training and mentoring framework in specific European regions. With this objective in mind, a questionnaire was created to gather information from key stakeholders.

This questionnaire aims to identify the needs, opportunities, expectations and solutions that stakeholders encounter regarding the governance of education and training in bioeconomy. Guidelines for the training governance framework will be developed using the collected data and the discussions held as part of the Communities of Practice established within the Project.

English, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, Estonian, Slovenian, and Czech are the supported languages for the questionnaire. Please use the drop-down option to choose the language of your choice from the link.

Circular Bricks is an Erasmus+ project that aims to provide innovative pedagogical tools to VET School Teachers to rethink and improve the educational model for the circular bioeconomy: the Design Thinking, a methodology explored and applied during the project, proved to be suitable both for dealing with circular bioeconomy topics and for actively involving teachers and students. Can it also be applied in other sectors? And with what results? Are there other forms of non-formal teaching that can have as much impact?
The third Circular Bricks webinar, coordinated by project partner Area Europa, intends to answer these questions, bringing to the table experiences from European projects on new educational methods.

Turning grass into valuable bio-refining asset – the inspiring story of the Danish GO-GRASS Demo

Turning grass into valuable bio-refining asset – the inspiring story of the Danish GO-GRASS Demo

SAVE THE DATE TO JOIN THE DANISH GO-GRASS JOURNEY OF GREEN BIOREFINING, A UNIQUELY DESIGNED EVENT AT AARHUS UNIVERSITY FOULUM IN DENMARK FROM 23 TO 24 MAY 2023.

We have great pleasure in announcing the Danish GO-GRASS International event that will be held on 23 and 24 May 2023, at Aarhus University Foulum in Denmark, where multiple experts from across Europe, will gather for networking, collaborating, and inspiring each other.

This exclusively designed event is set to evoke fruitful discussions about green biorefining in regions across EU, to inspire innovation to transform natural resources of grass land biomass into valuable assets and to explore the potential of future pan-European collaboration, while being customized to cater the specific needs and interests of experts from the field of green biorefining.

Why should you attend this bespoke event?
The Danish GO-GRASS partners have gained knowledge, created technology, tested and developed a green biorefinery concept which can produce a protein concentrate proven to substitute soy meal for monogastric animals, a suitable feed for ruminant dairy cows and integration with biogas production, and they would like to share their findings and demonstrate their Green Biorefinery Demoplatform to experts and influencers in the field of green biorefining with the aim to learn, share and inspire like-minded experts.

During this event we will DISCUSS – EXPLORE – INSPIRE the future of EU support, the possibility of technology replication, and the how-to of launching a pan-European Network of Green Biorefineries.

What to expect?
The event will be spread across two days. We will begin on 23 May in the afternoon with the tour of the Danish green biorefinery Demoplatform facilities, where the story of the Danish GO-GRASS Demo will be presented, and all the technical questions will be answered. We will conclude the first day with a social dinner so you can network with your peers and get to know experts from all over Europe.

The second day, 24 May, will be half a day of presentations from multiple important actors, followed by interesting exercises and group work, where important discussions about the future possibilities will be held and exclusive insights from different countries will be shared.

If interested, please register here by 15 May 2023!
